scatter along the sledding slop,
whizzing down the hill or watching
others go by in Garmisch, Germany. On a
recent weekend 22 U.S. Army Africa
couples and their 42 children went to
Edelweiss Lodge and Resort for a Strong
Bonds marriage retreat.

and strengthen the relationships of
their Soldiers, the 11th Armored Cavalry
Regiment held a marriage retreat for the
Soldiers of 1st Squadron, 11th ACR at
the Robinhood Resort at Big Bear Lake,
Calif., Nov. 22-24.

Marriage,’ is to teach couples what’s
good about each other. We don’t always
want to change the person, but instead,
recognize what your spouse’s passions

Fort Hood's 4th Brigade, 1st Cavalry
Division chaplains provided Soldiers the
opportunity to stay at a luxurious
five-star resort, consisting of two
swimming pools, a work-out center, and
free dining. The Families also received
free onsite daycare for their small
children while enjoying the facility at
the Strong Bonds event.
